Some of the branches are so weighed down with fruit they are bent quite to the ground.

The fruit is delicious and sweet. The boys love them and we are freezing any overripe ones for smoothies - they are great when there are no bananas to thicken a smoothie.

Freezing for smoothies - that's a great idea! Our tiny, newly planted tree is an early variety so we had our glut of apricots a while ago, but next year I'll keep the smoothie idea in mind.
Fresh apricots - yum!
Oooh, yum! My Pop had an apricot tree and every summer we'd take buckets and bags and stuff and go pick the fruit. One of my sisters would climb up to get the higher fruit. It wasn't sprayed or anything. Then we'd bottle it - I'd help cut it into halves until I found codling moth... Sometimes mum was lucky and sometimes she wasn't...
