12 years ago, on March 1st 1997, I moved to the USA. I arrived with 2 cases and moved into my rented house which at the time contained 1 bed, 1 plate, 1 mug, and a kettle!
I sat on the floor in my living room and cried, things have got a lot better since then!

I'm certainly happy you're here! And isn't the weather so much nicer? :-)
Gosh, that sounds familiar! We didn't even have any lights in our bedroom. Or chairs. We sat on the stairs and looked at each other cos those were the only seats we had. I had to go buy pots and pans, glasses, plates, cooking stuff.... chairs. Lights.
At least I had a spinning wheel and some yarn and needles. The important stuff y'know!
