Adam thoroughly embraces the concept of 'school spirit'. The school had a crazy hair day last week and Adam is here modeling his creation: the 'po-hawk' (portmanteau word combining Pony tail and Mohawk*).
Fin appropriately enough chose 2 'horns' of hair!
*Interestingly (or maybe not) this hairstyle was always called a Mohican in my youth - or maybe just in the UK - but here it's called a Mohawk.

This is what the web tells me:
The Mohawk tribe never actually wore the Mohawk hairstyle traditionally. The association with the so-called "Mohawk" hairstyle and the Mohawk tribe came from Hollywood and more specifically from the 1936 movie, Drums Along the Mohawk starring Henry Fonda.
Mohican men and women both kept their hair in two long braids most of the time, but warriors sometimes wore the distinctive Mohican hairstyle (also known as a "Mohawk".)
And also: The mohawk is also sometimes referred to as an iro in reference to the Iroquois, from whom the hairstyle is derived.
The last item confuses me as the Iroquois were an association of nations of whom the Mohawks were part - yet not the Mohicans.
Or so I read.
